Hidden Valley is located on narrow, hilly roads. Road conditions will be monitored and the Rockwood school district status will be referenced to help determine if the program will be cancelled. Travel is at your own risk, if you don’t feel comfortable on the roads, please do not travel.
Skiing requires cold temperatures. Any athlete may not be able to participate if they do not have appropriate clothing including but not limited to a coat, waterproof pants, gloves, long warm socks, and a face covering for cold conditions. Hidden Valley will likely be making snow if temperatures are below 28 degrees which will create blowing snow conditions requiring face covering. Breaks will be taken to warm up if the wind chill temperature is below 20 degrees. If the wind chill temperature is forecast to be below zero, the program will be cancelled.
The program will be cancelled if it is forecast to be raining. The program will not be cancelled if rain is forecast to stop and conditions are good. Rain at Hidden Valley can soften the snow and actually improve conditions.
